





Tropical sunrises are full of wonder and the very base to capture the start of the day. In the tropics the time varies around a half hour year round so that golden hour is around 40 minutes prior to the rise, and then that special Blue half hour once the rise is complete. In any case its always a great time just being there and involved with the start of the day.

When applicable it’s a challenge to slow down the exposure to gather more light and information onto the film. Generally around 50 iso and shoot within the upper f stops 5.6 to 8 ish. This gives a better depth of field. N D filters are a good way to slow down the exposure, but Tripods are a must for this type of shooting.
The above images were shot on a Lieca M11 P with both 50ml and 21 ml lenses. Experiment with minimal and full subject images both are a challenge and rewarding in there own right.
